100 Walls. 100 Artists. 18 Days.
Dew World recently participated in one of Washington DC’s most talked about public art initiatives, organized in collaboration with CBHC and community partners, where artists transformed walls throughout Anacostia into vibrant murals centered around culture, hope, resilience, and community pride. The project brought new life and energy into the neighborhood, encouraging tourism, supporting local businesses, strengthening unity, and uplifting the spirit of the community through powerful public imagery.
For Emmy Award Winning Haitian visual artist Doudgy Charmant and Dew World, the experience reinforced how murals can inspire courage, reflection, and a deeper understanding of identity and culture. During the initiative, Doudgy completed his featured mural in under 24 hours, painting throughout the night alongside fellow artists committed to transforming the city through art.
Residents watched overlooked spaces evolve into meaningful cultural landmarks that sparked conversation, inspired youth, and reminded the community of the beauty and potential within their neighborhoods.
That same spirit now continues through Murals of Hope: Little Haiti.
